Liquidity Pool Overview

Setu's cross-chain bridge relies on liquidity pools to facilitate instant token transfers between chains. These pools are maintained by liquidity providers who enable fast and efficient cross-chain transfers.

🏦

Decentralized

Community-owned pools with no central custodian

Instant transfers

No waiting for cross-chain confirmations

🔒

Secure

Protected by threshold cryptography

How It Works

Liquidity Mechanism

Setu's liquidity pools function as reserves on each blockchain, enabling immediate token transfers without waiting for cross-chain confirmations.

  1. 1
    User initiates transfer

User sends tokens to the bridge contract on source chain

  2. 2
    Tokens enter source pool

The tokens are locked in the source chain's liquidity pool

  3. 3
    Equivalent released from destination pool

Tokens are released from the destination chain's liquidity pool

  4. 4
    Transaction completes

User receives tokens on the destination chain almost instantly
